What to Include in Your Quote Request

DOC REF: TCS-CTA-01

Accurate quoting depends on complete instrument and application details. Each quote request is reviewed against the specific calibration requirements of the instrument type submitted. The following information ensures the fastest, most accurate estimate:

  • Instrument identification — manufacturer, model number, and serial number for each unit requiring calibration.
  • Temperature range — the operational range over which calibration points are needed, specified in °C or °F.
  • Accuracy requirements — tolerances or uncertainty budgets dictated by the application, quality system, or regulatory framework.
  • Calibration environment — whether lab-based calibration or on-site field calibration is required at the facility location.
  • Compliance standards — any applicable standards such as FDA 21 CFR Part 211, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or AS9100 that govern the calibration program.

Detailed submissions reduce turnaround on the quoting process and ensure calibration scope is aligned with operational and regulatory needs from the start.

Coverage & Scope

Accredited Calibration Across Illinois and Wisconsin

DOC REF: TCS-CTA-02

All calibration services referenced through this site are performed under ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation — the internationally recognized standard for testing and calibration laboratory competence. Calibration is performed under accreditation issued by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), and all measurement results are NIST-traceable to the International Temperature Scale of 1990 (ITS-90).

Geographic coverage spans major metropolitan and industrial areas across two states. In Illinois, calibration is available in Chicago, Aurora, Joliet, Naperville, and Rockford. In Wisconsin, coverage extends to Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay, Kenosha, and Racine. Both on-site and laboratory-based calibration options are supported depending on instrument type, volume, and facility requirements.

Certificates of calibration are issued for every completed service, documenting as-found and as-left data, measurement uncertainty, traceability references, and environmental conditions during the calibration process.

Quote requests are accepted for the full range of temperature calibration services — covering 27 distinct instrument and system categories. Sensor-level calibration is available for thermocouples, RTDs and PRTs, thermistors, and general-purpose temperature probes. Indicator-level calibration covers reference thermometers, digital thermometers, liquid-in-glass thermometers, infrared thermometers, pyrometers, thermal imaging cameras, and bimetal dial thermometers.

System and chamber calibration encompasses environmental chambers, ovens, furnaces, freezers, refrigerators, autoclaves, incubators, water baths, circulating baths, and kilns. Supporting equipment calibration is performed for dry block and dry well calibrators, TC and RTD simulators, data loggers, chart recorders, temperature controllers, and temperature transmitters. Temperature mapping services are also available for qualifying chamber uniformity and thermal distribution profiles.

If the instrument type needed is not listed, provide details in the form and the request is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
